Ok this is a little like a random
post, but I think this one will change something maybe. I wanted to search how I
got into blogging & why. Well back in 5th grade our grade got a school
E-mail and there was a movie that came out on Disney Channel called Harriet the Spy: Blog Wars & well it was going to be my last year
there and I don't know I had a lot to say. So I like wrote something that I
wanted to say & only sent it to my closest friends. But here's the thing they
all enjoyed it SO MUCH! So they forward it to their friends. And I would start
getting E-mails from other girls I knew asking when I was going to write
another blog post! I loved writing them cause they seemed to give me happiness
& I really had so much fun. But after we moved....I didn't think about it
much. But then one of my friends, Caroline showed me her blog so I started my
own! And I forgot how much I liked doing this...it's one of the ways I can
write which I love. Well I'm hoping to keep writing and I hope I may have inspired you. Tell me
a story that inspired you or someone that inspired you. I would love to hear
it! And comment if you have an idea for a post please. Thanks for always
reading! <3 Hannah

New York City & DC!
At my school, FCMS, the whole 7th grade (well not all of them) went to New York City & Washington DC! I was in a group of 4 girls, Lauren L, Kirra M., & Madison G. then of course my mom. It was a 13hr drive to NYC...it was good but only thing is I wish our bus would have been a bit more quiet. We got to our hotel somewhere around 2 AM & we all went to bed around 3AM & we all woke up at 6:55 so not even 4hrs! But that didn't stop us....so on Wed: went around NYC then after our lunch we had a Bus Tour yet once that was over we went to see Mary Poppins! It was supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.(SONG) Thurs: It was our free day so my group went to tour NBC then we went to Time Square. That night we went to this cold baseball game which I didn't really watch...LOL! Fri: Went to DC & we went to some museums but we didn't have enough time there! Sat: King's Domain where there are rides which I don't like to ride very much. I got back around 12 AM & didn't go to bed til 1. Sometime in New York....I rode the subway which wasn't bad but at first I was so scared!! Now that may be the last time I ride it. And the traffic there....wasn't good! Our bus driver didn't like any of it, there were people who ran right in front of our big bus I mean do you want to be dead? Same for DC, it felt like we never left NYC! In NYC we saw the Naked Cowboy & most of my group had pic taken with these people dressed up as someone...which you give them money if you do. There was a lot of walking! I am really glad to be home with all my friends again though. I'll always remember the Big Apple City though! Here are some pic....hope you like! <3

Wishful Thinking
I have finished a book called Wishful Thinking by Alexandra Bullen. If you could wish for a new life...would you?? Hazel Snow has always been alone. Adopted as a baby & shuffled from home to home, she's never really belonged anywhere. So when she receives three stunning, magical dresses-each with the power to grant one wish-Hazel wishes to know her mother. Yet transported to a time & place she couldn't have imagined, Hazel starts living an alternate life with her mother she never knew. Over the course of one amazing, miraculous summer, Hazel forms the most unexpected friendship & falls in love. But will her search to uncover her past forever alter her future?? This book...lets just say...was GREAT!! Alexandra didn't miss one word...it made me want to keep reading & would get kind of mad when my teachers said to put it away. Wonderfully written & couldn't be better. It shows the hardness of not knowing your real mom & feeling lost...but once you get what you have been searching for, your not sure if you can handle it. So many twists & turns I wasn't even thinking of! A MUST READ book!! Got any books you think I would like?(Always on the search for a good book) Comment! And I will post more books along the way....& if you have any ideas of something else I should post..comment as well. Thanks <3 -Hannah

The Kind of Friends We Used to Be
This is the sequel to The Secret Language of Girls so this is The Kind of Friends We Used to Be by Frances O'roark Dowell. Kate & Marylin are best friends forever....Well, except for last year when they weren't friends anymore....And except for this year when they both want to be friends again, but just don't know how to! But the thing is, even as they are trying to fix their broken friendship, they are becoming more & more unalike. And that's becoming harder & harder to deal with. Well, it would be a lot easier if Kate would take some of Marylin's fashion advice. I mean hello...ballet flats would look so much better than those big black combat boots. Feminine . But Kate..doesn't want to be feminine. She wants to learn guitar and write her own songs & be different; she wants to be the exact opposite of the middle-school cheerleaders. And maybe if Marylin would just stick up for herself and not get bullied by Mazie ( the MEANEST Cheerleader Ever) into judging anyone who's the least bit different, than Marylin & Kate could be real friends again. The ending is different & doesn't tell you everything, like make your own happy ending. I loved this book cause Kate is following her dream. I mean isn't that what a person should do?? Plus when Marylin does try to stick up for herself she gets scared, but hey middle school is that, just that. It makes girls see what really goes through each other minds. Hey if that person is someone you don't wanna give up on then don't give up on them cause you never know when you can become close again! <3

Emily Windsnap and the Siren's Secret
Friendship
Friendship
Friendship is like a flower
It blooms with love & brightness
Yet it is tough like a rock
But fragile like glass
Even with the wind blowing, it stays still
But with one –PLUCK- it flies away
Friendship is the same
It stays together like pack
But with one slip, it can all come crashing down
The flower then plants its’ seeds & re-grows with beauty

The Symbol Of Beauty
The Symbol of Beauty
We watch the sun go down and the colors just burst out.
We see the butterflies spread their wings and fly
The sound of birds singing from tree to tree
All is still, all is right
We grasp its beauty in our palm for we wish it to stay
But once again it all disappears at once
Though we wish it all stayed...
We feel lucky to have seen the true beauty that is here

Coke(Coca-Cola)
We have heard of Coke! It has been around since 1886.(I think) At first it was used for medicine but then it became a soft drink!!! It was made in these kind of bottles...glass. I think that is cool! But the Makers of Coke made a new product of Coke but no one liked it so they had to take all the bad coke out of stores & put the one people liked which is now what we have today......Original Coke! My great grandfather, Granddaddy Jack, favorite drink was Coke and when we would go to his house, my dad, brother, & I would always get coke for our drink. I loved to drink out of the glass coke because I had never seen anything like it & thought it was cool that I got to drink out of it. Plus one my favorite memories would be Jack holding the coke bottle...Coke will always & forever be my favorite soft drink! Sorry Mellow Yellow...GO COKE! :)

Drawing!
This is my drawing! It is called When Dawn Becomes Day by no other...Hannah K. Elmore! I got the idea one day...I think I was going to school & when my mom and I go to school the sun is coming up. When the sun was coming up the trees & everything looked black like it was painted black almost. I thought it was so pretty & I got the idea to draw it! To me it shows that the Earth is so pretty & wonderful, mostly because God made it with His own two hands! But even though the Earth is so beautiful people still mistreat it! They throw their trash where animals could get hurt, they cut down trees, & they put bad chemicals in the air & water! I mean....why?! The Earth is your home too so why not try to help it?! I like my drawing & I hope you do too! Leave comments & tell me what you think. Thanks, BYE! -Hannah :D

The Hunger Games
I just finished another book...I am like the Reading Queen right now. (Don't worry I have many more books to read) Now this book is The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. Yes..I am just now done with that book and they are already making a movie. Winning means fame & fortune. Losing means certain death. The Hunger Games have begun...There are 12 districts in North America and lies a nation of Panem. The Captiol is a hash and curl place. Every year one boy and one girl between the ages of 12-18 is pick to participate in the annual Hunger Games, a fight to the death on live TV. (MEAN!!) For 16 year-old Katniss Everdeen is a death sentence when she steps forward to take her younger sister, Prim's place in the games. But for Katniss who has been close to death and survival before this is second nature. Without meaning to she becomes a contender. But if she is to win she will have to start making choices that weigh survival against humanity and life against love. I love this book!!! I can't wait to read the second one. This book will have you craving for more. Your eyes will be glued to this book til midnight when your parents tell you to go to bed! All I can say it is wonderfully written & a must read book!!!! I bet the movie will be too...once it comes out at least. LOL :) Keep on reading those books & if you have any books you think I would like, please tell me. I am always open to a new book! Oh promise to have something soon that isn't about a book. :) -Hannah

Taken
I just finished another book! It was called Taken by Edward Bloor. It sets in 2035 where kidnapping is a major growth industry in the United States. The children of privilege live in secure, gated communities and are escorted to and from school by armed guards. (OUCH! I would hate that...) But the security around Charity Meyers has broken down...On New Year's morning, Charity finds herself in an ambulance that's not moving, she is strapped to a stretcher, and is alone! She is calm. Kids in her neighborhood have been well trained in kidnapping protocol. Do not panic. Do not try to escape. Wait for your parents to pay the ransom and you will be set free. But this is no normal kidnapping...as the hours of her imprisonment tick by, Charity realizes there is NOTHING normal about what's happening here. No training could prepare her for what her kidnappers really want and who they really are....I read this book and...it makes you lock on to every word, every story, every word or thought that the characters say or think! It just kept shocking me! U may think you know what is going to happen but you won't. This is not normal but its so good (And beside what so good about being normal?) You end up so happy in the end but you are left to make your ending. I couldn't stop reading it! It shows you should live your life out all the time but in God! I really liked this book and I kept being shocked, I laughed, I cried, I wondered, and I screamed! (not really but you know) READ THIS BOOK! You won't regate it. Love it...& no I am not going to tell you the ending. So go out and get this book please...!!
