The Kind of Friends We Used to Be
This is the sequel to The Secret Language of Girls so this is The Kind of Friends We Used to Be by Frances O'roark Dowell. Kate & Marylin are best friends forever....Well, except for last year when they weren't friends anymore....And except for this year when they both want to be friends again, but just don't know how to! But the thing is, even as they are trying to fix their broken friendship, they are becoming more & more unalike. And that's becoming harder & harder to deal with. Well, it would be a lot easier if Kate would take some of Marylin's fashion advice. I mean hello...ballet flats would look so much better than those big black combat boots. Feminine . But Kate..doesn't want to be feminine. She wants to learn guitar and write her own songs & be different; she wants to be the exact opposite of the middle-school cheerleaders. And maybe if Marylin would just stick up for herself and not get bullied by Mazie ( the MEANEST Cheerleader Ever) into judging anyone who's the least bit different, than Marylin & Kate could be real friends again. The ending is different & doesn't tell you everything, like make your own happy ending. I loved this book cause Kate is following her dream. I mean isn't that what a person should do?? Plus when Marylin does try to stick up for herself she gets scared, but hey middle school is that, just that. It makes girls see what really goes through each other minds. Hey if that person is someone you don't wanna give up on then don't give up on them cause you never know when you can become close again! <3

The Secret Language of Girls
I just finished another book called The Secret Language of Girls by Frances O'Roark Dowell. Back inn the old days when Kate had no interest in boys, she never cared what others thought of her. Now, it appeared, love was turning her into a rotten human being. Eleven-year-old Kate Faber wishes she could talk to her best friend, Marylin, about this. But Marylin is no longer her best friend. Or is she? Kate and Marylin were always the kind of best friends who lived on the same block for their whole lives, and who agreed on what kinds of boys were worth kissing, and who should be invited to their sleepover. The kind of best friends who didn't need words to talk, but who always just knew! But lately Marylin has started to think that Kate can be a bit babyish. And Kate thinks Marylin is acting like a big snob. Somehow nothing is the same, but secretly Kate & Marylin both wish it could be........This book is really good! It shows how even the greatest sisters in the world can fight. Plus it is really easy to put your feet in their shoes. It shows girls can be hard but somehow we always get back together. It is very insightful, funny, sweet, very real, & well written. Read it!! I bet you will love it. :D

Emily Windsnap and the Siren's Secret
You are talking to the Reading Queen! I have just finished another book & I haven't yet to post this book til now ouch kind of bad! Ok so I just finished the last in this series.(there are 4 books in total) Emily Windsnap and the Siren's Secret by Liz Kessler. In Emily's fourth adventure, everything finally seems to be perfect in her life. Her family is together again, she is free to spend time with her best friend, Shona, and her new friend Aaron. But when the mer-town of Shiprock is threatened by construction, Emily and her family are charged by Neptune to bring humans and merpeople together again. Before Emily knows it, she is back in Brightport, carrying out Neptune's order, searching for some missing sirens with Shona & sorting out her feelings toward Aaron, yet worst of all? Dealing with her old enemies Mandy and Mr. Beeston. Emily sure has her fins filled! In this final book Liz Kessler has funny, good, & just always wanting to keep reading the next page. Greatly written. It shows just in a different way of course that everyone is the same & we shouldn't judge others. I would say go out & read this series but I would say read the 1st one, then 2nd one, then 3rd, & then this one to really get it. HAHAHA! I have more books to come....:)
Friendship
Friendship
Friendship is like a flower
It blooms with love & brightness
Yet it is tough like a rock
But fragile like glass
Even with the wind blowing, it stays still
But with one –PLUCK- it flies away
Friendship is the same
It stays together like pack
But with one slip, it can all come crashing down
The flower then plants its’ seeds & re-grows with beauty
